I love the sight of distant hills
Through the blue eucalyptus haze;
All's at peace in the quiet still
Of my secluded resting place;
With the lull of the trickling stream,
As I laze in the evening sun,
The rush of life is a far-off dream
And the chores of the day are done;
The happy chirping choir of birds,
Far away from clutter and din;
The very silence can be heard
As tranquility filters in:
Our loving God, with nature's brush
Paints landscapes that cause us wonder;
Concealed behind life's crazy rush
We catch glimpses of His splendour.
