I asked God to heal a friend of mine,
God said," NO" to me.
"his purpose is accomplished,
in death I set him free."

I asked God to spare me heartache,
My Lord said," NO", again.
"In trials you draw nigh to Me,
away from worldly pain."

I asked Him, to remove some stress.
His answer still was," NO."
"Daily pray, to find a way,
read MY WORD to grow."

I asked The Lord for an agreement.
He said,"I ALONE AM HE,
My Plan is so much better,
If you would only TRUST IN ME."

I asked Him to tell my future.
Once more He said," NO way.
Live every moment,
WALK BY FAITH.
Rejoice in Me today."

So then I cried,
'come quickly Lord,
I long to see Your face'

"In MY time, I will bring you home,
but first you RUN THE RACE."
