Poetry
Bare feet.
Tanned skin.
Sunstreaked,
Days of Summer.
God is good.
God is here.
Calling in the breeze,
Watching through the trees.
Painting the valley floor with blossom.
Filling the air with Heavens fragrance.
Smiling in the waters reflection,
as His lowly daughter swims.
Refreshing her spirit, washing her clean.
Ripple upon ripple.
Thank you upon thank you,
for Blessing upon Blessing.
the chance to 'run free',
'His child' in me.
in these precious Days,
of Summer.

Beautifully written. I loved it.
Elizabeth, what a refreshing poem. It goes along with my poem, "Summer Breezes." Good to read things like this when the sun is pelting down its July blasts. God is Good...Helen
This just transports the mind into summer and refreshes the soul. I especially like the "Painting the valley floor with blossom." Your ending is wonderful with the "Blessing upon Blessing" and "run free."
This takes me back to my childhood, running along the creek banks and skipping rocks. It wasn't till my later years that i realized what a magnifcient painter God was! Loved every word!
