The stillness of the silent sea,
Without a word, it speaks to me
Of perfect peace and harmony,
And quiets my soul with thoughts of Thee.
But I have seen its seething foam,
And cowered at its raging roar
As it batters down the hapless shore;
Its thundering trembles in my soul.

There, I recall the days now gone,
When all my life was going wrong;
To a fallen world I belonged;
Before I sang salvation's song.
But now my soul has peace in Christ,
Who by His perfect sacrifice
Took all the raging from my life,
And filled my soul with Paradise.

I sit here on the quiet shore;
Your Spirit comforts mind and soul;
My thoughts within begin to soar;
Oh, that I might stay here evermore!!
But You have put us in this world
To shine Your Light and spread Your Word,
That the gospel truth might be heard
In the furthest parts of the earth.

"Lord, give me strength to do Your will,
When You return, be toiling still;
May my heart and soul always thrill
With God's love as Your Spirit fills.
Almighty God, I sing Your praise,
That from sure death my soul You've saved,
And to Heaven's heights, I'll be raised:
Glory Jesus!! How great Your ways".
