On days like this,
I feel so small,
the world comes crashing in.
Overstressed, overtired,
stretched so very thin.
I give it all to You Lord.
Not knowing where to start,
My Rock.
My life.
The air I breathe.
Still this anxious heart.

On days like this,
I feel alone,
Depression calls my name.
'Get behind me Satan.'
I will not play that game.
I give it all to You Lord.
I cannot clearly find.
My Path.
My Sword.
My Saviours Shield.
Still the turmoil of my mind.

On days like this,
I need to stop.
Go to my Lord in prayer.
Close my eyes, pour out my heart,
and find Him, standing there.
Arms wide open, drawing nigh.
'The face of Love' to see.
My Source.
My Hope.
My Jesus.
Still the 'self' in me.
