"Let us cross to the other side"
Christ speaks the Word and it will be;
His will can never be defied
By rushing wind or raging sea.
In tranquil peace He sleeps below,
Oblivious to fear and dread;
The seas may swell, the gale may blow;
Can these prevent what Christ has said?
"Master, we perish", they cry out,
As fear and panic grips their souls;
"Lord, save us", His disciples shout;
"Where is your faith" the Master scolds.
The wind and sea obey His Word;
At His command their ragings cease;
They recognise Who is their Lord;
He speaks to them; they rest in peace.
Don't be tossed in a sea of doubt;
All Christ has said will be fulfilled;
Though storms be raging all about,
Put your faith in Him---"Peace, be still".
