The mustard seed of faith that grew
Within this heart of mine,
Was started by such a loving Voice
That drew and beckoned me.
It acknowledged my pain and tortured mind,
And said, " Child, peace be still."
My eyes poured out all my heart's hurt and pain,
Releasing years of self-hatred and longing.

To this Love I opened my heart
Just a little more each day;
I listened to His words of Truth
As we walked along the Way.
He gave me courage to see myself--
To see the sin inside;
And when the Truth had made its mark,
He said," Bid me to come and abide."

In the full light of the Truth that day
The scales from my eyes did fall.
I saw the Cross lifted high before me,
And Jesus Christ did call.
" I am the Son of God, who died
And rose again for you.
My death paid the penalty for sin
And made you free,
And if in your heart you do believe,
You'll live eternally."

For many years I've walked with Him
Through all life's joyss and sorrows;
The valleys, dark and mountain peaks,
Deaths and dreams unfulfilled,
Yet I will always give thanks to God
For all He's given me--
For the still, small voice
Of the Father's Son
And all Eternity.
