Perpetual overflow (the Prayer)

Lord, the world says “Recession”
I won’t accept it nor will I believe
But like You I will make confession
I speak life and I shall receive

The world says that everything will be taken
Down to the very hair upon my head
But Your Word says I’ve never seen the righteous forsaken
Nor his seed begging bread

The world says I will experience every bad thing
That they play on the news tonight
But God You said You will withhold no good thing
From they that will walk upright

The world says I’m headed for lean days
Full of poverty, sorrow, and crime
But Your Word says that You are with me always
Even until the end of time

The world declares famine and woe
And future despairs untold
But Your Word says be like Isaac and sow
And the same year (I’ll) reap a hundred fold

The world says that gas is too high for me to afford
And there is no help for me from above
But I remember Your Word says the Earth is the Lord’s
And all the fullness thereof

I won’t believe the world’s false prophesies
And all that they claim to know
But I will faithfully stay down on my knees
And walk in Perpetual Overflow
