Do you feel like you are losing your mind? Does the pressure of life seem to be just too much? Maybe your boss or coworker at work is giving you a hard time. Maybe you are experiencing trouble with your children. Maybe you've lost a loved one, maybe you've lost a job, or maybe your business is failing. Do you feel that you just can't seem to get a handle on things, whatever the problem may be? Does it seems like the harder you try to get out of the pit the more you sink into it?

My friend, if you are in such a situation, may I suggest to you that your enemy, Satan, is trying to destroy you. He is trying to break up your marriage. He is trying to get you sleeping under a bridge with an empty whiskey bottle in your hand. He is trying to see your kids end up in jail or prison. He is trying to destroy you in every possible way He can.

The way that Satan will begin his mission of destroying you and your family is by attacking your mind.

Your mind is where it all begins and it is where it all eventually ends. Every part of your being, every aspect of your life is all affected by your mind, your thoughts, your perceptions which are, to you, more of a reality than reality itself. If Satan can get into your head and play you like a puppet, then He has access not only into your life, but the lives of those around you.

Consider what the Bible says about Satan

John 10:10 The thief comes that he may steal, kill, and destroy...

1Peter 5:8 Be sober, be watchful: your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour

But friend, as much as Satan wants to destroy you, God wants to protect you! Jesus said that He has come that you might have life and life more abundantly. Jesus said that he has come to heal the broken hearted and to set the captives free. John 3:16 tells us that it is not His will that any would perish but that all would have everlasting life.

I am now about to present one of the most powerful and life-changing revelations I ever received in my entire life. It has been a valuable tool in defeating Satan and overcoming his attacks. I have learned that one of the greatest ways to stay protected from the attacks of Satan is this: The Peace of God

Let us read Philippians 4: 7: And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your minds through Christ Jesus.

Yes, the peace of God. It also can be defined as the rest of God. It protects. It defends. It guards your heart and your mind. This gentle, but powerful secret is one the greatest weapons we have to defeat Satan and stop him in His tracks. The wonderful, healing, and soothing peace of God.

When I got out of the Army, I was emotionally exhausted. I moved to Finland and because of language wasn't able to find work. So I would be home and I would spend the first 3 to 4 hours every day in the presence of God- the peace of God. As a result, God did a great work in my mind and heart. The peace of God not only guarded my heart and mind, but also healed it of many hurts and wounds. As a result I came into a new and higher level of relationship with Him that I had never known before.

I suggest to you to find some soaking music. Soaking music is music that you play in the background while you soak in Father God's presence. Two of my favorite sources of soaking music are Alberto and Kimberly Rivera and Terry MacAlmon. There are many others as well, just type "soaking music" in Google and a lot should come up.

I suggest that if it is possible to spend 2 to 3 hours every day in the presence of God if you can, but even just 30 minutes a day would make a difference. Some of the most anointed men and women of God would spend more than 12 hours a day in prayer and in the word. Two or three hours doesn't seem like much in comparison.

If you can't spend that much time then do what you can during your work days and then, if it is possible, on one of your days off, (possibly Sunday morning before church), spend an extended period of time, say 2 to 3 hours, of just enjoying the presence of God.

Friend, tell Satan to go back to hell where he came from. Find some time to be totally alone. Turn your cell phone off and shut and lock your door. Put a "soaking" CD in your CD player, close your eyes and let your Father in Heaven pour His love into you. Allow God to take away the turmoil and give you a peace that surpasses all understanding. You will never be the same again.
