Title: All These Frustrations

All these frustrations,

Trying to learn biblical truth,

Trying to talk to people at church,

Red Lights and traffic delay me,
Trying to be on time at work,
Trying to meet my boss’s expectations,
Getting the grades I need.

Do I ignore Jesus like Peter and Martha did?
Or do I obey him like Mary did?
My life seems to be a continuous
Episode of never-ending failures.
I seem to be at the bottom of the mountain of success.
Will my life fall apart soon?
I am going fast as a race-car going 200 mph.
Maybe I should ease my foot off the accelerator
And slow down to see God’s beauty and experience joy?
Can’t I admit that I can not become perfect?
Am I a slave to my frustrations?

These frustrations come,
God’s grace can break me free,
With his rest.
My heart is a tunnel of shame, lust, greed, and envy.
I am desperately looking for the light where God is.
My heart should be like a bowl,
Waiting to let God pour His water of love into it.

There is sunshine of hope rising above this darkness.
When I realize these truths:
I am a child of God.
I have been created with unique gifts to love people.
His Holy Spirit can give me victory over sin.
I must learn for everything, there is a time.
I must be content in what I have,
Because I should trust that God will supply all of my needs.
Soon, I will be celebrating in Heaven being full of joy!
