Finding Home on the Open Road.

It is the weekend,
I am sick of my life going nowhere
It seems like I am driving round and round,
Going till I reach the bottom.
Need to explore more avenues in life.

Life is like driving on the open road.
I am trying to find a destination.
But, I do not know which roads to take.
There are endless opportunities of growth or despair each way.

I choose to turn right,
Later, I find myself lost.
I stick with one career until I fail
I am not sure whether to continue on that road
Or start over.
Memories of failure about awful semesters run through my mind
I become angry at my stupidity
Then, I feel joy by remembering times,
When God helped me drive over mountains,
That revelation encourages me to strengthen my faith in Him.

Today is Monday,
There is construction or traffic
I start to hate my life.
I wonder why I have to suffer.
This could be a time where I learn to be humble.
Am I mature to become married?
There are luxuries that God has given me,
And steps where God has helped me achieve.
I should be thankful for this is His will (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

Sometimes the car skids on ice,
I lose control of life,
Giving too much of my life to sinful desires.
Tired of battling school and work
I repent to God about my pride, and
God give me strength to manage the road of life.

It seems that I am always on an endless road,
Searching for God’s peace and love.
I remember these 2 passages
Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
I go up to heavens, you are there;
If I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
I rise on the wings of the dawn,
If I settle on the far side of the sea,
Even there your hand will guide me,
Your hand will hold me fast.(Psalm 139:7-10)
Psalm 139, says God is always there,
Waiting for us to turn to him.

God will direct me to a highway
Called the way of Holiness that leads to Zion(heaven)
The Way of holiness can provide
Eternal redemption and joy (Isaiah 35)
Isaiah 35 reminds me that my struggles are temporary.
And, life can be full of wondering
How beautiful our final home will be.
