Born on the seventh of July
Mom's little firecracker baby
"You came out like one", she said
"And you looked like one, too!"

I look forward every year
To July 4th and my birthday
Setting off fireworks
and blowing out my candles

See the brilliant colors in the sky
And make a wish

I am a roman candle
Lit and ready to shoot up into the sky
Drawing attention upward
To the beautiful display

I am a sparkler
Lit and burning oh so bright
Point me upward
And write Your name in the sky

Hear the thundering booms
In perfect synch with the symphony
See the brilliant colors in the sky
And make a wish

A wish for Independence Day
To bring my freedom

This firecracker baby's gonna get her freedom
