a big comfy bed
soft pillow for my head
satin pjs in blue
awaking anew

an abundance of food
a choice for every mood
sweet tea in a tall glass
quenching my thirst at last

having fun, taking a break
laughing 'til my sides ache
a ball game, catching a flick
friends to share these things with

the smell of the ocean
sound of waves in motion
bright blue sky all around
the seashells that I found

the splendor of the mountains
the Kansas City fountains
crossing the Mississippi
places that are new to me

the thrill of competition
a team on a mission
persevering to the end
giving our all to win

a competitive edge
piercing eyes flashing red
a body trained for war
helmet, shield, and sword

time with those whom I love
sharing in our God above
nothing hidden, all is known
no need to fear, love is shown

rejoicing in the Lord
delighting in His Word
receiving His love and grace
awaiting sight of His face
