The tiny tapping

of raindrops

against my windshield

wakes me up

to my senses -

my spiritual senses.



It sounds like

celophane crunching

and flapping in the wind.

But it is

something deep.



Today, it's

a gentle tap

a hidden tear

a silent pain.



Although

I am not sad,

not at this moment

because God seems

so near.



There are those

who only now

see the clouds.



They don't see

their tears

drip down

the side of

their bottle

in heaven.
