There's a price to be paid for the world's accolades;
There's allurement hid in her smile;
What's sown to the flesh is but passing at best;
Its pleasures last only a while.
If your faith is in Christ, then the joy of your life,
And what your heart treasures the most,
Is to honour your Lord in each action and word;
Christ Jesus alone is your boast.
So like Moses, rejoice to forsake all for Christ;
Turn your back on fame's fleeting fads;
Count reproach for His Name to be unsurpassed gain;
In His truth, exult and be glad.
For the saints hearts all lean on great things yet unseen,
Their promised eternal reward;
On a glorious day when they'll hear Jesus say,
"Come, enter the joy of The Lord."


"By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward" Heb 11:24-26.
