I wrote this for a friend who sings country and southern gospel in hopes he will record it.

Live Like Jesus

I've learned some hard lessons in this old world
And I've made more than my share of mistakes
But the one thing I've learned, the longer I live
You gotta give back much more than you take

Jesus lived with passion....and everlasting love
He taught us of humility, of mercy and grace
He gave all of Himself so you and I could live
With no regrets He boldly took our place

So while I'm on this earth....
I want to live with passion!
I want to love completely!
May I learn to be humble
And leave this world with no fear
And when I go....
I want folks to know....I lived
With no regrets....
And nothing left to give
I want to live....like Jesus.

Jesus said "love your enemies - forgive all men"
And you know that's really hard for us to do
But if you want to live your life like Jesus lived His
You gotta bless those who even curse you

Now don't get me wrong, I know I'm just a man
I'm not saying I could ever be anything more
I give God the all glory for the blessings in my life
And I can't wait to see what heaven has in store
