Voice of Despair
Watching the world fall apart…
Deeds are done that break the heart.
Why is there always war and strife -
Wisdom cries when we kill each life.
Nations work together no more
The rich are richer and the poor-most poor.
Polluted rivers, tainted lands
Who here does what God commands?
Truth falls down with each wet tear
Greed stands up absent of fear
Values pass us by in a hearse
As life around us grows much worse
So, I write to reflect my thoughts through word
As my voice is too small now to be heard.

Your voice IS heard. Your cry is the cry of many. If we watch or listen to the news or read the newspaper, we cannot help but feel in despair. But God is STILL in control, no matter how gloomy things seem. He alone holds the stop-watch to say when the race is over...He alone can lift us from despair...Oh God, may we keep our eyes on YOU...Helen

How hard it is to see through the pain and suffering; greed and irreverence so prevalent in the days we now live. Let us never forget to remember that our God is ever-faithful and will one day remove it all and bless us with His Presence forevermore. Until that time, when we shall all see our Savior coming with the clouds, may those who are His be burdened with the fevered commitment and desire to pray and serve our King "as the deer panteth for the water", never to turn a blind eye when instead we need to love with the Love Christ has first shown us.
