That Same Faith

That same faith that saved you
When your head couldn’t understand
Is the same faith that will take you
To your glorious promise land

That same faith will deliver you
From all the guilt and stain
That same faith will heal you
When your body is sick or in pain

That same faith will shield you
When satan throws his fiery darts
That same faith will raise you
And keep the joy and peace in your heart

That same faith will provide for you
When you seem to be in lack
That same faith will make the enemy
Seven times what he has stolen, give back

We need to get back
To the simple faith we knew
When we first met Jesus
And we saw all that He would do

Somehow we have missed it
And gotten into the trap of many works
But those works will never please God
He is not impressed by our many quirks

That same faith is what must be
If God we are going to please
We must just walk by faith
Instead of all the things, which we do see.
