God walked the earth, yes He was here
He was with us some time ago
Our Father, the Son, the Man so dear
Seeds of goodness He would sow
He came with a purpose and before He was done
Our bond of sin He would sever
To settle a score with the evil one
So his children would be cleansed forever
He did this for you and He did it for me
A debt we can never repay
But the Creator’s love is there for free
From the beginning and day after day
God walked the earth, yes He was here
Amazing grace we were shown
And with knowing Christ Jesus there is nothing to fear
For we know we are never alone
