What happens to a church when negativity creeps into a congregation.....
Distant Believers
Danette Kettwich
Oceans between
Hearts within this room
Walls erected
This bodies impending doom
Valleys stretch
Distance between souls
Canyons separate
A body no longer whole
Negative’s here
The positive replaced
Is it too late;
Holy hands of grace?
Oh Lord move
The valleys and mountain
Bring us to You
Your life giving fountain.
Lord please bridge
These hearts once more
Lead us again
To Your open door.

Yes, this is very sad and it happens more often than not. Too many eyes on people and not on our Lord. Very well written!
This is sad. If only we as believers would remember that CHURCH is not a building, nor a group within that building. The CHURCH is made up of God's children. CHURCH is within our hearts. We can worship God anywhere, even if we can't go to a building with CHURCH on its door. If only God's children would learn this, then persons within a congregation, in honor preferring one another, would get along...Helen
