Your hand has brought forth
The rod of correction against my frame;
Sparing not the rod,
You direct me with the
Loving, gracious hand of a Father.

I am disciplined for a mighty purpose
Which is far beyond my knowing.
Each day is a day of promise
Where I can learn of Your ways
And grow closer to the One
Who is the Source of all life.

Awed by Your all-encompassing
Love and forgiveness,
I fall and miss the mark,
But Your loving kindness
Continually guides my steps;
Training me to do the good works
That You have ordained me to do.

The path of the righteous
Is a path of discipline
And integrity,
And a path full of blessing
For those who earnestly
Seek the Father's Wisdom
for each and every day;
For those who have the ears to hear
And eyes to see the works of the Lord
Done on our behalf
