Great Love 4/15/08

I come to get filled up with You each morning,
To get my God-sense up and soaring.
I come to drink of Your Living Water.
I come to meet with my Holy Father.

In the dark recesses of the night,
I thrill to Your Holy delight.
In the quiet peace of night's pre-dawn,
All my exuberance and joy spawn.

It is there I meet with my King,
So He can teach me how to sing
His love-song to the world, where I
Can know His reasons and know why

He teaches me to sing His songs to man,
To tell them of His most Holy plan.
I have been anointed with His love
And I am to go about as a dove,

With the Holy Spirit inside of me,
So a humble servant, well I can be.
Surely I am no greater than He,
And He stooped down low for the world to see

That man loves another by sacrifice,
And Jesus went ahead and paid the price
For the sinful people to be set free.
He did that great thing for you and me!

What His heart knew of great love and great pain,
Our hearts know of great love and great gain,
For if Jesus had not answered the call,
What would we know of great love at all?
