PRESS ME INTO THY
PRESENCE LORD
Press me into thy presence Lord
Don't let a day go by
That I won't have a time alone
With You, with heartfelt cry.
Not just a few swift moments there
But stay, until You're done
Doing that work of grace in me
Because, of Christ the Son.
Renewed now in spirit for service
With Your presence I leave
To face the trials and tribulations
Your path has set for me.
Thy Word so precious to my soul
Is hidden within my heart
So sin cannot have dominion now
My Saviour has bid it depart.
Your constant presence through each day
My assurance that You care
So thank You Lord again for that
That precious time, of prayer.

Press me into thy presence Lord ! I wish that more would stay upon their face before God and wait upon Him, including myself. A world of wisdom in this poem.

I enjoyed how you took the "King James" approach to this poem...it worked well in the way you allowed the words to flow. It also convicted me - I am so often in a hurry to "get it done" (religion) that I miss the awesomeness of intimacy with Him (relationship).
