Not I but thee I say each day
but then my things get in the way

God knows much better than I
What to do, Where to fly

But of course in my
selfish place

I take over and
miss His face

Alas He sees me
I cannot hide

And then He pushes
me inside

To my heart and
soul and mind

Where He is Lord
and I will find

The power, the knowledge,
the strength, the peace

The Spirit will guide,
if I just release
