THE FIVE FOLD MINISTRY

Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Eph 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Ministry
Just what is ministry? To be a minister is to be one who is ordained and anointed of God to serve His people. With this definition, we can only say that ministry is to make yourself open and ready to serve who ever God sends you to. It is true that some are called to serve in a big church with large congregations and great movements of the Holy Spirit.

However, many of us are called to sit beside the dying holding their hands praying them into heaven. Some of us are called to go into the jails, and the prisons to minister to the lost and unbearable. Some of us are called to go into the jungles of South America. James says that true religion before God is to feed and cloth the widows and fatherless.

How can we say, that we are fulfilling our calling before God if the only place we put out an effort, what so ever to reach any one is in our own church or friends. Jesus commanded us to go forth and preach the gospel to the entire world and to baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The only way that is going to happen is to get off our rear ends, and get doing it.Ministry is about doing the nasty unthankful jobs before God that no one else will do. I do not believe that Jesus will be very happy with us. If we tell him at the judgment, that the only reason we did not fulfill the great commission was that we were to lazy or just did not have enough time.

Calling or titles seem to be more important than any thing else to some people in ministry. What good is a title if you do not pastor or evangelize or any thing else God has told you to do? Many people are dying and going to hell every day, because some one with a title could not spend enough time with them. To share the gospel or to hold their hand when they were hurting. Sometimes people just give up because they thought no one gave a care about them.

What did Jesus spend all that time teaching about, was it not how a true Christian should be? A servant to all if no one today was going to listen or do any thing about it. In the following paragraphs I layout what I feel are the signs that a person would see in their lives if they are called to the Five Fold Ministry. Just a little guide to help you to be able to decide if you are called, and perhaps say "hey maybe I am a member of the Five-Fold ministry", and perhaps start fulfilling your calling.

Apostles
An apostle will have a vision and direction for the church, and has a vision for ministry growth and spreading of the word. An apostle establishes ministries, churches, and holds a vision of the big picture. The apostle will have oversight, will be an organizer, a natural leader. An apostle will pass spiritual blessings, and anointing, is capable of all the Five Fold ministry offices, has a burden for purity in the Church. An apostle's devotion to the Lord and His teachings will be unwavering. An apostle operates in the Gifts of the Spirit, will over come every obstacle to accomplish their mission.

At this very hour God is calling forth a special group of apostles who are anointed to enlighten the people, and prepare them for what is soon to come upon the earth. This is an anointed group of men and women, who the anointing will be on greatly with signs, wonders, and miracles following.
Their #1 drive is God’s vision.

PROPHETS/ PROPHETESS
A prophet will have a tendency to have dreams of events in people's lives. Prophets have a tendency to have visions of direction for the church and people's lives. Prophets tend to interpret God's word through spiritual revelation, where a teacher would be more line on line interruption. True prophets always prophecy for the edification, building up, and comfort of people and the church. Prophets normally are always in prayer and seeking God on more of a personal and deeper level.
Their # 1 drive is God’s Will

Teachers
A teacher will need to break all bondage in people's lives by God’s word. A teacher will not tolerate false teaching, or misunderstanding of God’s Word. To a teacher knowledge of the word is the most important part of Christianity, they believe that the word brings freedom, and growth. They will supernaturally recognize false teaching and revel it immediately. A true teacher will never compromise the word.

A teacher will have a working knowledge of Greek and Hebrew. A teacher will be able to use a Lexicon and Dictionary and Study Aids. The teacher's anointing under the direct inspiration of the Holy Spirit, will enable a teacher to understand the Word when many others will not. Because of their anointing they will drive others crazy, and be seen a know- it- all, who has to make sure everyone sees what they do and are as on fire for the word as they are.
Their #1 drive is God's Word

PASTORS
A pastor will have a supernatural love for the sheep of God. Most people will never understand the love of a pastor, nor will they understand they care a pastor will put forth for the sheep. A pastor will hurt deeply when the sheep hurt. A pastor will have a heart for sheep, and will draw people together in love. A pastor will be a bondage breaker, and will want to make people feel secure. They will give council and love, and draw sheep for counseling and direction, give off security and warmth. True Pastors are not hirelings, people who are just trying to work out a retirement. They will not head a church; key to a pastor is the anointing not training. Pastors should not be in the pulpit, that is the job of the teacher, or prophet or apostle.

A pastor will supernaturally draw people; sheep will trust the pastor. An effective pastor will be limited to shepherding from 30 to 50 people properly. A pastor in tune to God and the five fold will need to draw strength from the apostle's, or prophet's anointing. The pastor should also be in submission to the apostle, and prophet. A pastor will have a deep need to help the sheep grow in maturity. A pastor will not necessarily hold a degree, or an ordination, instead will be highly anointed.
#1 drive is God's People

Evangelist
An evangelist will have a God driven need to win souls, and for the church to grow. An evangelist will have a need to see people convicted of sins, and delivered. An evangelist will be very emotional, and exciting, will want quick results, and is constantly moving. You will always recognize an evangelist by their energetic exciting aggressiveness in soul winning. Their anointing will drive them like madmen to get as many people saved as possible, and they will never be satisfied with the number of people who they lead to the Lord.
Their # 1 drive is for Lost Souls

A Christian can prophesy but not be a prophet, A prophet can teach but not be a teacher, and a pastor can win souls but not be an evangelist. All are equal, and needed for the Church to stay strong. Jesus established the five fold ministry and expects it to be here and operating until he returns. Contrary to popular belief, the apostles, and prophets did not all die off two thousand years ago. The Five-Fold ministry is here, alive, well, and operating before God.

These guidelines are only general look them over see if they apply to you if they do perhaps, you are an apostle or a prophet or a teacher, or an evangelist, or a pastor. If so my prayer for you would be to seek God, make sure then start operating in the gifts of your office. Fulfill your calling.
