KIDS YOU GOTTA LOVE THEM

Kids you gotta love them
Especially when they're young
Their mischievious little natures
When they are having fun

Such unrehearsed reactions
Brings a smile to our face
Confronting new scenarios
In their daily pace

Topsy turvy, oops there goes
That plate full of spaghetti
That look at mom, of innocence
That's the second time already

After the meal is over
They are on the loose again
Here and there a toy is flung
There seems to be no end

Diaper full, that cowboy walk
The look that says, "It's yucky!"
In the tub for daily bath
Playing with rubber ducky.

Hey mom, "Now it is storytime."
So on my lap they cuddle
Who could believe that moments ago
Everything was in such a muddle

As I read the stories
Their eyes begin to blink
Soon it's off to beddy by
Then I begin to think

Thank you God for children
That You have made to embrace
The whole day is gone in nothing flat
Such is Your amazing grace

Motherhood has given me
The gift beyond all measure
The taking care of Your heaven sent
Precious child and treasure.
