Caesar hand picked his ecclesia (church)
Jesus hand picked His Ecclesia (church)
Caesar was a lord; Jesus is the Lord (of the lords)
The citizens of Rome believed that Caesar was the son of a god
The citizens of heaven know that Jesus is the Son of God etc.
The parallels between Jesus and Caesar are very important to
The understanding of the Kingdom of God because God sent forth
His Son at the right time so that the people would understand His Message
Jesus said,”… and on this rock I will build my ecclesia (church)…”
The word ‘My’ reveals that there were other ecclesia’s at the time
Caesar had his ecclesia and now it was time for Jesus to establishes
His ecclesia (church/Cabinet) after His Death and Resurrection
The word church was not religious; it was a political term
Caesar needed a senate (cabinet/ecclesia) to spread his message
Jesus employed the same structure (concept) by choosing His Cabinet
The duty of the Cabinet was to get the mind of their Lord and make it legislation
Caesar would send a governor (Pilate) to a certain area and the governor would Demonstrate the mind of Caesar and make it policy (law) in the territory
Jesus also sent a Governor (Holy Spirit-Paracletes) to govern the territory
He would bring the mind of God in a territory and make it policy (e.g. Matt. 5 &6)
So that the Kingdom of God can (could) surface in that territory
Jesus hand picked His Ecclesia (church)
Nobody else can pick His ecclesia (church)
No pastor or religious leader can pick His (Jesus) Cabinet
We must thank Him that we are part of His Cabinet (Church/Ecclesia)
The word church was not religious; it was a political term
Caesar needed a senate (cabinet/ecclesia) to spread his message
Jesus employed the same structure (concept) by choosing His Cabinet
They had to spread His message of the Kingdom of God
Today the word Church has been misunderstood
No wonder there is so much deception

"a title that piques the readers curiousity would be grand. A little morsel worded just right to make them HAVE to read, not just WANT to. Yes, Mark, I agree with Don on this. I have mentioned it to you before -- pick a catching title, not so long, but with PUNCH. Your topic is great! I like the comparison. It would be good if you could make the contrast show up a bit more, to pique the reader's interst - SHOW the contrast...A tiny knowledge of html would help. I will explain further in an email to you....Helen... Sorry I haven't had time to comment on all your articles. As a caregiver, so many things take me away from the computer....HD
In spite of the "lazy" title, I read it. Not because I knew what the article was about before I read it; but out of critical curiousity. A sort of "how's he going to write his way out of this mess?" I enjoyed it, to be sure. I did notice that you didn't cite any of your sources though. Full of information that is doubtlessly full of application and interpretation to/for the life of the believer, I was disappointed that this piece was so short. Too short, in fact. So much opportunity for exposition and you left too many academic "fill in the blanks". I've read quite a bit of your work and I know that you could easily bring some "colors" to this "black and white" missive. I'd sure like it if you would. If you do, next time, a title that piques the readers curiousity would be grand. A little morsel worded just right to make them HAVE to read, not just WANT to. Their sense of "what's this about?" is your best literary ally.
