"Surprise!" exclaimed the entire family.
Cameras flashed like paparazzi on ‘Oscar’ night.
Miranda hid her face, embarrassed--but happy.

Suicide was no longer an option.

This one deserves a good comment because it tells a really deep reaching story about dealing with depression. You wrote an accurate picture of what's available if people just look. Love is all around us but too often we CHOOSE to be blind to it.
