Give Me Words
Give me words to speak
Let it be Your wisdom I seek
Dangerous and vile is my tongue
With it, curses and praises sung
Cleanse this weapon of destruction
Allow it to be used only for edification
Cleanse my soul deep within
That my tongue no longer speaks sin
Forgive me my words of the past
Put in my mouth Your Word that last
Freedom with each Word spoken
To heal and mend hearts that are broken
Guide me in what I should say
Let me be a blessing each day
Steer me from words of slander
Lead me to speak something grander
The power of life in death reside
In the words that my tongue has cried
Let me now speak only blessings
It is my heart my tongue is confessing
Give me words to speak
Allow no more poison to leak
Hold my tongue and take control
Let me speak from a clean soul

This reminds me of things I pray concerningmy tongue. I am so thankful and I give all the glory to Jesus for helping me to keep a still tongue when my flesh would have said all manner of awful and hurtful things if it had not be subject to the Holy Spirit!!! Anita
Offered to God on the altar, the tongue has awesome power for good. There must be an ongoing prayerfulness and resolve to discipline ourselves. Who keeps the tongue doth keep his soul. May God continue to bless you and keep you wrapped in His loving arms. May His Spirit always commune with your heart. May you hear from God like never before and know Him like never before...Hugs from my heart to yours.
This reminds me of the newer song that says- Give me words to speak- don't let my spirit sleep- This is an awesome prayer that we need to apply daily with every thing that comes out of our mouth!
