Faith

The earth

"Well? Aren't Ya gonna
SAY something?"

[SILENCE.]

"Hey, LORD?
(oops.)
(oy)
Hey.......Lord?"

"Child, Who are you
speaking to?"

"Eh......the One Who
made those pretty
aurora borealis,
up in CANADA?"

[PATIENT NOD.]

"I just read about
that on my welcome page,
Lord."

[NOD.]

"Kind'a neat stuff."

[SMILE.]

"How come You never
let ME see it?"

"Not yet."

"Oh, COME on, Lord!
You know I'm never
gonna do THAT!"

"How do you know, child."

"Aw! Come ON!
Gimme a BREAK!
I have trouble,
just gettin across
WALMART!"

[PATIENT PAUSE.]
"Child, Who AM I?"

"How come You're
always ASKING me
that, Lord?
(laugh!)
Don't You know Who
You ARE?"

[SAD SMILE.]
"Yes, My beloved.
But, I don't think
you do."

the two great lights,
the greater light
to rule the day,
and the lesser light
to rule the night;
He made
the stars also.
