A Different Breed

One who walks by faith
To many is a different breed
As he has learned that to listen to his natural mind is pointless
So only to the Holy Spirit’s voice he does heed

He’s learned that it is not about him
It’s only about the one who saves
That has a plan for his life
And others through him, He will also raise

He’s learned that to please God
To his flesh, he must not listen too
That his responsibility is to be obedient
To what the Holy Spirit says, to do

He’s learned that to have power
Means he must follow the leading of the Lord
And not to walk in the letter of the law
Nor to use the logos as his sword

He’s learned that the Holy Spirit power
Is what is needed in the world today
And to trust in the anointing
To give him the words, to say

To some he is a different breed
Yet to God he is the norm
He’s learned that if we are to win
Then the gates of hell, he must storm

Yes, he is a different breed
Yet he has found true life
The kingdom of God has come upon him
As he has learned to walk in God’s light.
