My Yoke Is Easy

Jesus said, that My yoke is easy
And My burden is light
Cast all your cares upon Me
I will make things right

Jesus died for us, to carry
The weight of all our sin
He wants to carry our load
But we must give it, to Him

When carrying a burden
Your head will hang down
It is so hard to smile
When your face wears a frown

It is hard to look up
When looking towards the ground
All burdens are designed to do
Are just, to weight you down

Jesus said to take no thought of the morrow
For sufficient is the evil of day that we are in
Let’s take care of the now
And leave the cares of the morrow to Him

We need to forget
All of the past sin
And press toward the mark
Of the high calling of Him

With so many weights
And so many cares
Our arms are not free
To lift in the air

Until we can lay down
All the cares that we hold
We can never praise Him
And walk the way, to us He told.
