I saw the Lord
sitting upon a throne,
high and lifted up
and His train filled the temple.
[Isaiah 6:1]

"Lord, what does this MEAN?"

"What, child."

"This whole Part: where
Isaiah sees You, and then
some weird lookin' angels,and
then gets burned in the MOUTH?"

"Tell Me, child."

"Right here, Lord:

Then flew one of the seraphim
to me, having in his hand
a burning coal which
he had taken with tongs
from the altar.
And, he touched my mouth...
[Isaiah 6:6-7]"

[NOD.]

"Ech! I thought those
seraphim were really cute,
and NICE, Lord? Don't
they all have pretty,
long HAIR, and
sweet FACES?"

[PATIENT SILENCE.]

"How come these guys
had SIX wings? I thought
they only had TWO."

[VERY PATIENT PAUSE.]

"I know people like this
Part, but I think it's
really SPOOKY."

"Perhaps, child."

"What's with all the SMOKE?"

[SMILE.]

"I don't understand, Lord.
When we have to stand in
front of You, to get judged,
is it gonna be real SMOKEY,
like that?"

"It will be,
what it will be,
child."

(shake head)
(sip on some rootbeer
for comfort)
"Eh.....I thought it
was real hot and firey,
down in the OTHER place,
Lord! What's goin' ON,
here?"

"My Word, child!"

"Yeah, but......I thought
where the angels were,
everything was, 'Ya know,
real BLUE, and WHITE,
and real COOL?"

[SILENCE.]

"I guess not, huh?
Well, I guess it's a
good thing I live in
San Antonio, Lord."

"Why is that, My precious."

"Because........when I finally
get to meet You,
(thoughtful silence)
I'll be used to the HEAT!"

"No, My child."

"Why's that, Lord:
You got an AIR conditioner,
NOW? What; did Sears have
a BIG SALE?"

[LAUGH!]
"No, child!"

"WHAT, Lord?"

"Because, My child......
you've already
met Me."
**********************
Above him stood the seraphim...
and one called to another
and said:
Holy, Holy, Holy
is the Lord of Hosts!
The whole earth
is filled
of His glory!
[Isaiah 6:2-3]
