What if there is no God and we are just a lucky accident? What if 100 years from now we establish documented proof that, indeed, there is a God who created us? What if we establish proof that we simply cannot know everything? What if we prove nothing? What will change our beliefs?

We might be wise to consider the source of our information. The world was flat until Columbus brought us new information. Gravity did not exist until Newton brought us new information. The sun revolved around the earth until Copernicus and others committed heresy by suggesting otherwise.

What do we really know? We know what we experience. We do not know what others experience.

We do not know what others may experience in the future. Each of us looks out on the world from our unique viewpoint of our own experiences. Everything we think we know is colored by everything that has been experienced either directly or indirectly.

Education leads us to research and, only sometimes, to belief in what others have discovered.

Oppression leads us to fear of what could happen to us.

Freedom leads us to new discoveries.

God gave us “free will”, but not the right to take “free will” from others. Honor God by allowing others “free will” to explore and make the discoveries God has destined for them. Our heart must believe our own discoveries.
