dogracing, and
what are YOU doin'
about it?"

[SILENCE]

aren't doing anything
for these dogs, Lord?
They were once sweet
puppies, and now
they live in a HORROR!"

[SILENCE.]

"I FIGURED;
You don't even
know what I'm TALKIN'
about, DO You?"

"Do I, My child?"

"I DON'T know!
You seem to let all
this cruelty go on,
and....."

"Who am I, little one?"

"The One Who
made me too
darn SENSITIVE?"

[NOD.]

"Yeah, but what
are YOU doing about it,
HUH?"

"This is the world, My child."

"So, that's IT?
THAT'S IT?
That's ALL Y'ur
gonn'a SAY?
Why can't You
DO SOMETHING?"

[SILENCE]

"Hmph.
I thought You were
so POWERFUL?
And, You can't even
stop this dog gambling
stuff in Florida?
Why NOT?"

"The world is full of sin,
child."

"THAT'S news to ME,
Lord. I've only been
on this earth for
51 YEARS!"

"Yes.
I made you, child."

"WHO cares about ME?
What are 'Ya doin'
about these GREYHOUNDS,
Lord? Or, don't You CARE?"

"Who made them, My beloved?"

"Hm.....uh uh, Lord.
I think 'Ya STARTED
the dog, Lord: but, they
got BRED, that way:
by a bunch of greedy PEOPLE:
who are animals, themselves!"

[PATIENT SMILE.]
"WHO CREATED them, child?"

"The nauseating people.....or the
suffering dogs, Lord?"

"Both, My child."

"Well......I guess YOU did.....
for a start. But....."

"Read My Word, precious."

"Why, Lord;
is there somethin' about
greyhound racing in Here?
Yeah. Okay. Wait a minute;
I think the Lord Jesus said something:

Are not two sparrows
sold for a penny?
And not one of them
will fall to the ground
without Your Father's will.
[Matthew 11:29]

So, You know even
when one little BIRD
dies, Lord?"

[NOD.]

"So......when these
magnificent dogs are raced to
death, and then left to
die miserably, YOU know that, TOO?"

"Yes, My beloved."

"Then......then, why don't You
DO SOMETHING?"

[PAUSE.]
"I am."

angel of the Lord,
she pushed against the wall,
and pressed Balaam's foot....
so that he struck her again......
she lay down under Balaam;
and Balaam's anger was kindled,
and he struck the ass with his staff.
Then the Lord opened the mouth
of the ass, and she said....
'What have I done to you,
that you have struck me these
three times?'
[Numbers 22: 25-28]
