I Cry

What do I do?
When my back is against the wall?
Do I just give up?
Or to Jesus do I call?

What do I do?
When faced with the Red Sea
The vision in front
Behind is, the enemy

The enemy surrounds me
There is no place to run
I seem to wonder
Lord, what have I done?

I feel the pressure
That is so intense inside
There is no defense
There is no place to hide

The enemy is on my left
The enemy is on my right
The joyous day I once had
Has turned to the darkest of night

When there is none to help
And it’s just Him and I alone
Will He do what he said?
Or now, am I on my own?

I cry out to God for mercy
I pray that He does hear my call
I know that if He does not answer
My life is over, everything, all

I think that sometimes
That this is just a test
Do I really believe what I believe?
Can I trust in what I confess?

One thing that I have found
And on this I can relay
Jesus will always be near
When out to Him, I cry.
