I call you from the cleft, my dove,
have no fear with me.
Hold the reigns of my love,
ride His grace like the sea.

Be my soul’s complement,
the one God brought to me.
United on this firmament;
my mate implicitly.

Keep my feet firm on the ground,
with love, seventy times seven.
With His word, so profound,
I’ll put your heart in heaven.

With me, hold fast the highest plain,
His strength to be our fitness.
Let’s watch each other walk His name;
be one another’s witness.

I’ll stand guard over your life,
hold back the fears you see,
‘Til I’m cut loose by Death’s knife
to ride the wake of eternity.

But for now, let us be one,
as called by our Lord who’s raised.
A pattern of the church and Son,
our love will be His praise.

My heart has seen that it is little;
words are worthy as the one who spoke them.
And though my life is oh so brittle,
I’ll live these words as one who’s chosen.
