Healing

The Nile shall swarm
with frogs
which shall come up
into your house,
and into your bedchamber
and on your bed......

"How do I do it, Lord?"

"What, My child."

"Get RID of them:
these FROGS!"

"Where are they,
child."

"EVERYWHERE!
They're EVERYWHERE, Lord!
But, mainly they come to
my room, at NIGHT!
I do not want
to SLEEP! I know they
will soon hop onto my
bed!"

[NOD.]

"Why have You sent me
this perturbing plague?"

"It is not Me, child.
It is you."

"ME? Why would I
do that to MYSELF?"

[SILENCE]
"Give them to Me, child."

(giggle)
"What are YOU gonna'
do with a bunch 'a frogs,
Lord?"

"Read My Word, child."

"Eh......okay:

Come to Me,
all who labor
and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.
[Matthew 11:28]

(silence)
(sigh)
So, You want ME to
give YOU my FROGS, Lord?"

[PATIENT NOD.]

"Well.......what are YOU
gonna' do with 'em, Lord?"

"Read again, My child."

Yeah:

For as the heavens
are high above the earth,
so great is His steadfast love
toward those who fear Him;
as far as the east is from
the west,
so far does He remove
our transgressions from us.
[Psalms 103:11-12]"

[NOD.]

"That's a whole lotta'
stuff, Lord. It's gonna'
fill up Your whole ocean,
Lord."

"So be it, child."

"I don't know if I'm
ready to do that, Lord:
give my frogs to You."

[PATIENT SILENCE]

"But, once they are
gone, won't I need
SOMETHING to fill the....
the EMPTINESS?"

[NOD]
"Yes, My beloved.
You will."

"But, I'm afraid, Lord;
I'm afraid of just THAT!"

"Don't be, child."

"But, HOW?
How can I do that?"

"Do not be afraid, child."

"But, what......"

"I've been waiting, My child:
waiting to give you something
far better."

(frown;
silence)
"What could THAT be, LORD?"

"Joy."

He sent Moses His servant
and Aaron............
They wrought His signs
among them....
their land swarmed
with frogs,
even in the chambers
of their kings.............
So He led forth His people
with joy,
and His chosen ones
with singing.
