"Cast your cares on Him, because He cares for you."
1Peter 5:7

The other day the Lord gave me these cute words to hold onto, in relation to this verse. "Rest in God's care, and He will care for the rest!" These words are a comfort and a simple reminder to give it to Him who is in charged.

There are many times where God has watched out for me, and when in the end I have been surprised and delighted, and sometimes even amused with the results!:

On friday, my co-worker had the "Bit O' Honey" candy laying on our counter. I love that candly(its a honey taffy), and I never see it, so I told her "half jokingly" that I would "have to beg her for some". She did not respond, so I tried again and told her "I may have to ask real nice for some later!" Again she said nothing so I let the subject drop :( It was a busy day and I forgot about the aforementioned confection until 5:00 when I was getting ready to go home. In my purse I noticed 3 Bits O Honey! I smiled. She had remembered, even though I forgot, what a pleasant surprise! The candy was delicious and the lesson is a good one. God is thinking even when we forget!

I studied science in college and we were taught to reason and come to conclusions. This often makes faith a hard thing, but in this case, I reason it this way-If God is concerned with the little things in our lives, like candy, how much more concerned is He with the big things-our jobs, our health, our welfare in general.
Cast your cares......I was never bad at throwing things(I specialise in fits :), but for some reason, cares are a hard thing to cast. Its not that we want to deal with them ourselves, but its just hard to trust someone else with them, even our Father God in His omnipotency and divinity.

But He won't just care for us, He cares ABOUT us. BIG time, He will do ANYTHING for us.....we are His number one priorty always, that won't change. He wants our worries-He wants to exchange them for blessing and unwavering peace, as we trust in Him.
