Setbacks, Small Matters, and a Slip of the Tongue
All The Tricks of Satan

Galatians 5:7
Ye did run well, who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth

I Thessalonians 2:18
Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again, but Satan hindered us

I Peter 3:7
Likewise, ye husbands dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

Three things a Christian should not give thought to:
1. Set backs will keep you out of the will of God
2. Small matters will keep you out of the will of God
3. Slip of the tongues will keep you out of the will of God

If it is God’s will that you be somewhere, do some things, or change some things, stay where you are no matter what comes or goes until God says otherwise.

Set back means that the progress has been slowed, hindered, delayed, a checking of progress, defeat, reverse, automatic scheduled adjustment. Everybody have a time span on earth. What you do or do not do, you will have to give an account to God for failing or accomplishing your God ordained purpose.

Small matters, subject under consideration that is minor, unimportant, having comparatively little in size or slight dimension, minor in strength, influence, power or ranking operating on a scale little or close to zero in an objectively measurably limited aspect. You can choose what you will hear or let into your spirit. Events or circumstance of a particular situation, trivial, insignificant, petty, minute, extremely small in relation to being proven by God’s Word. A small matter is composed primarily of nothing and must not occupy space in your heart, mind, or soul because it does not contain any mass or components. Its makeup is made of loneliness, depression, and every thing that goes against Gods Word, as it gives no direction or regard to the direction God wants one to go and it will cause one to slip.

Slip, to escape from memory or consciousness, mistake, mischance or blunder. Thinking on small things will cause one to slide out of place or away from one’s support system. They will find themselves far out of the grasp or reach of reality. Satan uses small things to make one slide away from or decline in their standards causing them to let go of reality and getting dislocated in life.

A slip of the tongue happens when those small things penetrate the inward man and cause one to depart from the faith. James says the tongue is unruly and need to be controlled. The tongue utters speech and can cause great damage in the life of a saint. When a slip of the tongue occur it produces tales and the person speaking becomes a talebearer. The thing is one should not be a talebearer if they are born of God. God’s people speaks the gospel, a talebearer reveal secrets, sows strife, separate chief friends, repeats every thing they know and think they hear, glitters with their lips, their words are wounds, wounding all those that will hear them, they are idle, going from person to person if they will listen and be the tattlers and busy bodies that are speaking things that they ought not.

Ye did run well, but who hindered you? What snare did catch you up? There are people that are evil and evil minded and they lay snares for God’s people all the time. Be careful not to cause hurt to one of God’s anointed ones, as you reap hurt to yourself. It causes you to have setbacks. You set back the scope of your vision unbeknown to yourself. Be careful not to cause the fall of the one that falls. They may get up and keep running but their fall you will be dealt with.

Run until your walk has been perfected, until those things that came to hinder your walk have been cast down.

Falls is caused by the things that hinders the walk because the hindrance messes with the mind causing a retardation, an act or instance of slowing up the advancement or accomplishment, impede the progress of something or someone and it suspends the upward growth in a Christians development. It hinders the things that God have for the Christian at the time it should get there usually with selfish motives. Satan hinders the walk of the Christian because it is his job and he is doing his job well, but woe unto the one used for his purpose. It’s no small matter and it’s not just a slip of the tongue. A plan is thought up in the mind and acted upon out of the heart. So every man is responsible for their own actions thereby being held liable to give an answer to God of their motives and intents. What kind of explanation does God want to hear concerning evil? He want hear anything other than repentance when one prays a prayer of regret and reverent sorrow, turn away from the evil and dedicate themselves to the amendment of their ways.

Setbacks, small matters and a slip of the tongue is all tricks of Satan. Just admit that you have been had, feel regret or contrition, change your mind, feel sorry and do not get had anymore in the same way. This is how one will get up and keep running well, run on to perfection.

For the time is come that judgment must first begin at the house of God and if it first begins at us what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God and if the righteous scarcely be saved where shall the sinner and ungodly appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing; as unto a faithful creator and faithful is he that calls you, who will also do it. God will sanctify you wholly and preserve your whole spirit, soul, and body unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, so from now on let no man trouble you for you bear in your body the marks of the Lord Jesus Christ.
