The Gifts Long Gone
Think Again

Why is it not happening? Why are the gifts God placed in the Church not being utilized? The Church has to be spiritually acceptable to the gifts. God does not force his Spirit on no one. People get traditionally use to the jacklegs jacking them and they will only succumb to the trash they are use to rather than they truth.

Romans 1:11
For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established

The spirit of divination, a supposed spirit imparting supernatural powers to one possessed by it. Acts 1616, and it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying.

Spirit is a supernatural being or essence.

Divination is the art or practice that seeks to foresee or foretell future events or discover hidden knowledge usually by the interpretation of omens or by the aid of supernatural powers.

Supernatural means of or relating to an order of existence beyond the visible observable universe, of or relating to God or a god, demigod, spirit or devil. Departing from what is usual or normal especially so to appear to transcend the laws of nature attributed to an invisible agent as a ghost or spirit.

Why is this happening; the people of God has turned to witchcraft and divination spirits for directions in their lives? Why are they seeking other means for their living other than what God says? Just as the days of Paul when the damsel possessed a spirit of divination met him and followed him crying and said “these men are the servants of the most High God which shows us the way of salvation” for many days. This woman grieved Paul’s Spirit and he turned and said to the Spirit in her “I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her” and the spirit came out the same hour.

The spirit of holiness resignation in the heart of man causes them to receive the power needed and the spirit of obedience cause them to receive grace while one is separating themselves from everything that exalts itself against God. When man will not yield to the spirit of God they harden their hearts and treasure up wrath unto themselves against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who will render to every man according to his deeds.

Spirituality is determined and influenced by the Holy Spirit. It is the great and enduring element to of a Christian life. It shows forth a love and devotion to God, brings peace, indifference to worldly good, a thirst for heavenly blessings and is produced by the indwelling of the Holy Ghost. Because of carnality in the minds of Christians they are dead to spiritual things and cannot discern what is real and not. Romans 8:6, to be carnally minded; is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Paul admonished the people to eat and drink of the spiritual rock, which is Christ Jesus. It is also a fact that God wants his people to not be ignorant of spiritual gifts.

The gifts long gone, think again.

The gifts are to bless the people of God, but they must have zeal, choosing to serve God and letting the zeal consume them where they will be wise enough to win souls for Christ. They must do whatever their hands find to do with all their might. When the light comes on in the heart of the Christian they will arise and shine because the glory of the Lord is upon them.

Matthew 5:14, ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.

John 9:4, I must work the works of him that sent me while it is day: the night cometh when no man can work.

The spiritual gifts cannot operate in the life of the Christian because they will not delight in the law of God after the inward man, they are slothful in business, will not serve God with fervent fear in the spirit, they do things for their own glory profiting them rather than God and they will not seek spiritual gifts that they may excel to the edifying of the church.

II Corinthians 7:11, for behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea what zeal, yea, what revenge; In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter. It is always good to be zealously affected in a good thing.

Spiritual gifts are not being received in the church as should be because people get weary in well doing. If the season for a blessing is too long they faint. Their loins are not girt about with truth; they lie, gossip and speak things they know not of. Then they are not quick to repent, even when they have been chastened and rebuked. So when God allow his spirit to come and tell them come thee bride is not ready. Christians are to be diligent in their walk with Christ, characterized by steady, earnest, and energetic effort.

Instead they rather continuously stay spiritually blind. Where they do not perceive what shall come upon them because of disobedience to the call to come up hinder. Rather than allow the gifts to function they would rather be void of the counsel that may come forth from the operation of the spirit. They are disqualified for the gifts and condemn them working in others. Psalm 82:5, they know not, neither will they understand, they walk on in darkness. They are a people that do err in their hearts, and they know not the ways of God. The way of the wicked is as darkness, they know not at what they stumble.

Proverbs 17:16, wherefore is there a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing he hath no heart to it.

Isaiah 42:18, hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind that ye may see. What a man sees he ought to observe and he should hear but they do not.

In Jeremiah 4:22 God said my people is foolish, they have not known me, they are sottish children and they have none understanding, they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
