Cast the lot upon my life and have Your way with me;
There is nothing in this world that I desire;
Cast the veil over my eyes that by faith I would see;
Let Your Spirit make me glow with fearful fire;

I’m no one that You should arise to give attention,
Yet You came down and spoke Your good word to me;
My name came to Your mouth and was graciously mentioned
Before the angels, spoke with infinite glee;

You alone have trod the path that You have set for me,
To build Your plan for me, made with peace and hope;
As I trace that path; each step I find I’m far more free,
And so, I seek Your face with each weakened grope;

My thoughts are frail, no step of mine is without blunder,
Yet Your Spirit is the wind to move my life’s sail;
Made me Your own glory in which the world to wonder;
All You’ve promised me has not been seen to fail.

Upon the threshold between time and eternity,
Where beats the resonance of my heart’s refrains;
They alone bear witness to the speech of Your mercy,
Ever proclaiming the greatest of all names;

Fragile and precarious, while my strength is in You;
Imperfections are part of Your perfect plan,
For they drive me to the One I’ve found so very true,
And fashion me like the One great Son of Man.
