Hope in a Manger

Lord I have such need of Thee
Once again hear my heart’s plea
See me through this dark valley
It is to Your banner that I rally

I know You are with me all the while
It is You I seek in every trial
I must go through, but never alone
You hold me close for I am Your own

This challenge is hard and long
Yet I still praise You in my song
You promise to never leave or forsake me
It is not the problem, but You I see

My situations do not define my belief
For I still know joy even in grief
Our faith defies this world’s logic
Believers see hope even in the tragic

This hope is based upon so much more
It is upon the promise of what is in store
The promise that my soul is no longer in danger
Salvation has come through the Child in the manger

Brother and Sisters,

Here is my Christmas poem. No there is no mention of bells and ribbons nor gifts with bows. This poem lacks Santa Claus and his flying reindeer. There is no mention of feasts and families.

This is a simple reminder that all will face troubles and trials even during this festive time of the year. This simple reminder that hope came in the form of that Babe in the Manger.

Merry Christmas to my family and friends here and faithwriters. God bless each of you and continue to use you for His glory and honor.

In Christ,
Christian

Thanks, Christian, for this good reminder of the real reason for Christmas - Hope in a Manger - I am so glad for that. No, there were no festive parties, nor any glitter or decorations this year, but we did have a blessed Christmas. Our Christmas time has been spent travelling back and forth to the hospital for treatments for my husband. But God has been with us, and I know He is with you. Thanks for the greeting...God bless you...Helen

Yes, Christian, you have captured the mystery of faith - beyond human logic; stronger than circumstances or trial. Praise be to Jesus our Savior Who walked in our shoes for a time leading the Way back Home. Bless you on your journey! Prayers on your behalf are being lifted to Heaven - Jody

Hope in a Manger You certainly have been in tune with your Master to bring together a message like this, so neatly gift wrapped. Stay blessed and Merry Christmas to you. Each trial comes to make us stronger than we were before. Love and blessings to you all. God bless!

Christian, merry Christmas to you and yours. I have not been sure as to whether or not you would receive any of my emails lately. Are you stateside now? It is good to read your work again. God bless.
Thomas
