How Long?

Where is the Church
Why does it suffer lack?
Is it maybe because
We have been passively sitting back

If we don’t stand
Then whom will God’s kingdom initiate?
We must take new ground
As the enemy is on a mission to infiltrate

He has gone to our church and schools
He has been choking out God’s Word
He has attacked leadership all around
He is in the news more than our Lord

Jesus gave to us the keys
So what are they for
They are supposed to cause us to rule
And open every locked door

The kingdom of Heaven suffers violence
And the violent take it by force
Unless we rule and reign
The world will stay off course

So put off the slumber oh woman and man of God
And with God’s power stand
Take your rightful place
And go and possess your land

Take up the shield of faith
So the darts just fall away
It’s time that we again ruled
And became God’s army in this day

If one can put one thousand
Of the enemy to flight
Then how many can we push back
If an army together will fight

My question is How Long?
Will we allow this to go on?
We will ever stand and fight
And bring Glory to God’s Son?
