The devil is a master at sneakiness. A little tweaking of the truth here, a little there, to diminish its power and make it more palatable and easier for men to understand. But the premise that we have to accept is that we can never understand Deity completely. That which is created is of necessity less than its Creator. Even though worldly wisdom may deny it, human minds are finite and fallible. God is Infinite and infallible. He declares, "My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor my ways your ways. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 54:8, 9. But thankfully the command is not to understand fully, but to believe and obey. When messengers came to Jairus to tell him not to worry the Master further, that his little daughter had died, Jesus said, "Be not afraid; only believe." Mark 5:33ff. In other words, have faith in God; do not question the method or the timing. You do not have to understand the workings of the Master.

If it were possible to understand God's ways perfectly and completely, why would we need faith which is the assurance of things hoped for and the conviction of THINGS NOT SEEN? Hebrews 11:1

An outstanding and timely example of the devil's work in this area is his attempt to fill in all the blanks in the concept of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Difficult to understand? Yes, but taught absolutely in Scripture and therefore to be accepted by faith. Human minds are simply not big enough to wrap themselves around Infinity in all its complexity, and attempts at air-tight explanations (all different by the way) are a dime a dozen and worth about that much. When it is cut down to our size by satanic innovation, it loses its power and efficacy. And millions are led astray on fruitless paths that lead nowhere. What Scripture teaches must be accepted at face value with unquestioning faith because without faith it is impossible to please God. For those that come to Him must believe that He is and that he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

It is very probable that worldly wisdom will continue to build Babel explanations for hard-to-understand Bible teachings, but they will only serve to divide people into factions and cause them to miss the Way. We are told in clear and unmistakable terms what we need to know, how we ought to be and what we need to do. As the old song says, "We'll understand it all by and by." And not until then.
