When my world turns dark
Lord, please be my Light
make me a beacon, a candleabra
glowing in the night.
Lord, be my Help
like with the Macabees
like your children, Israel
lead me to victory!
Lord, be my Menorah
when my nights are dark and cold
draw near and illuminate
like in the days of old
be the candle that I see
prolong Thy holy light
Father I am grateful
that it goes BEYOND eight nights!
Lord, you are my menorah
my bright and shining star
when I call upon Your name
Thy love is never far!
