Last week, on Thanksgiving, I was in charge of the pumkin pie. I love making the pumpkin pie, I love all the ingredients used, but one ingredient, the cloves only called for 1/4 teaspoon! That and my mom bought the whole cloves, because the diced ones were more expensive, so I had to chop the clove before I could add it to the mix. As I was chopping, trying not to stub a finger, I was thinking of how pointless this was for only 1/4 teaspoon.....would it really affect the pie? But those things are STRONG, and when we were enjoying our pie that evening, I could definitly taste the cloves! They made the pie yummy!! :)

Sometimes, God asks us to give a little. A little money, a little faith, etc. And we ask, "Lord, are you SURE this is going to matter?" Its not much! But oh, what he can do when we are obedient and give Him that little bit that He asks for. It may only be a small amount, but like that 1/4 teaspoon of chopped cloves, it can make a BIG impact! So when God asks us to do something for Him, even if it may seem silly or trivial, when we do itl who knows what it will impact? It may change a life. In the youth group room in our church there is a really cool sign-it says "Heaven and hell can be different because of YOU. Never underestimate what being faithful, even in a small way can do for the Kingdom :)
