How accessible is the future without you?

Can a man without you attain those potentials

buried in tomorrow’s treasure island?

With the watercourse of vagueness ahead

And imposing layer of failure all around

That man who possesses you not is doomed

Hope! You are the bond to the future

You remain the makeshift bridge across life’s
gorges

Without you, the future becomes a measly

conjecture

Men devoid of you are dead, though walking

Check that man this sunrise

Whose expectation was dashed yester night

He might now be lifeless, hanged by his own hands

His once pumping heart, stripped of life

by the triteness of his vista

Hope! The springboard out of mawkish water of

vacuity

The persistent illuminating radiance

Into the heart of the disconsolate

That somehow, sometime, things will be all right

Hmnn… Hope, unfailing hope

Grant me access into God’s future for me
