The artist holds in his hand
A marker or a purple crayon.
He creates, imagination lead,
His Mommy with a giant head.
Legs as tall as trunks on trees
A masterpiece is what he sees.
Arms attached to Mommy’s head,
He draws where his heart is lead.
A perfect grin drawn on her face,
Ear to ear, set in perfect place.
This is you Mommy, you are strong,
Holding me in your arms so long.

Oh, how lovely. The words fit so perfectly with the little picture. I loved it.
We had my little grand niece visiting last week. She was 4, and she loved to draw. Aren't children wonderful. They see things that adults are too blind to see. Loved your poem...Helen
