Two palms pierced by steel
Stretched wide apart on a cross
Displayed for all eyes
A harsh crown of thorns
Rests on the head of our prince
Blood streaks down his face
His body battered
The lamb to be slain for us
Beaten and broken
A king on a cross
Heaven’s royal prince hanging
In utter disgrace
Held bound by his love
Shame and suffering he bears
For our redemption
